How we collect your data

From Partners

In some instances we are provided with information from our Partner(s) through the Partner Service. This is information that you have already provided to our partner and that is necessary for us in order to provide the Enode Services to you. This can be information such as your address.

From you

We also collect information directly from you. This includes information which is necessary for communication and interoperability with the relevant hardware. The Partner Services can also be designed such that you are prompted to provide information such as you address to us which might be needed for the performance of the respective Enode Service.

From your hardware

The provision of the Enode Services requires us to collect information from your hardware. This can be information such as charging state. Note that we will only collect such information on the basis of an explicit consent.

The type of data we process and why

When providing Enode Services your personal data is processed in order to fulfill our obligation to you. This data is necessary in order to give you the services that you expect. We do not store your personal data longer than is necessary to fulfill the purpose with the processing.

The personal data we process varies depending on which part of the Enode Service we provide to you and how the Partner Service is designed. Below you will find a description of what data we process related to the different services we provide.

Hardware connection

When providing you with a service that necessitates a connection with your hardware (such as an EV or home charger) Enode will process your account information in order to establish such connection and ensure interoperability and data portability. This information includes login credentials to your relevant account. This data is encrypted and is not shared with any Partner Services.

Charging/Smart charging

In order to provide optimized charging we need information from your hardware. This includes location information so we can determine if the item is located at the home location. Additionally information about charge rate, charge state ect. is also processed.

Statistics

We provide statistics about charging at one or more specific locations. In order to provide this service we need to process location information, information about charge rate and battery level.

How we use your data and the legal basis for processing

We use your data for different purposes, both business and commercial. These purposes include delivery of the Enode Service, improving this service as well as developing new Services.

Specifically we also use your data in order to perform product- and customer analysis, statistics and business- and method development. Furthermore, data may be processed for the purpose of ensuring that we have performed the Enode Services correctly. It can also be necessary to process personal data in order to provide customers support to you or our Partners.

Processing of personal data is done when it has our legitimate interest as a legal basis or you have given us consent to do so. To the extent we rely on consent to collect and process your data, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

How long we store your data

The data we collect for the provision of the Enode Services is stored as long as is needed for the relevant purpose. Thereafter the data is deleted or anonymized as soon as possible. In general data will be deleted or anonymized no more than 3 months after its purpose has been served.

Where your data is stored

We strive to process your data within the EU/EEA. However, in some situations data can be shared with an IT provider that is outside EU/EEA, which means your data can be processed outside this region. If and when this occurs, we ensure that there is an adequate level of protection and that appropriate safeguards are taken (e.g., by using the EU Commission’s standard contractual clauses).

With whom your data is shared

Your data is primarily shared with the Partner or Partner Services you are using and whom you have instructed us to make the data accessible to. The data is made accessible when we provide the service to you on your request regarding the provision of the service. The data that is shared to Partners is only that which is necessary to provide the Enode Service.

Additionally, Enode uses software- and data storage providers that may process your data. These providers are only allowed to process data on our behalf and in accordance with our instruction. They cannot disclose this data to anyone other than Enode.
