How Sense is unlocking real-time energy insights for every home

Sense is on a mission to make homes smarter and more energy aware. Their software, embedded in next-generation smart meters, translates raw electrical signals into real-time insights, helping consumers understand exactly how energy is being used in their home, device by device.

Now, with the launch of EV Analytics, Sense is bringing that intelligence to one of the fastest-growing parts of the home: electric vehicles. EV Analytics helps households understand charging behavior, optimize costs, and prepare for the future of smart charging.

From visibility to control

To make it possible, Sense partnered with Enode. Through a single integration, Enode connects the Sense app to more than 1,000 energy device models, including 365 EV models across 45+ brands. This lets Sense deliver features like real-time EV status, charge rate, and smart scheduling, without the burden of building and maintaining integrations.

“Our goal is to make energy data more useful and intuitive for everyone,” says Nancy Riley, SVP of Product at Sense. “Enode’s platform accelerates that vision by giving us instant access to hundreds of energy devices, so we can focus on delivering a great user experience.”

Scaling impact through interoperability

Today, Sense powers millions of real-time energy events per day across thousands of homes in North America. Today, Sense technology is embedded in next-generation smart meters across North America, bringing real-time energy intelligence to millions of homes. By expanding their reach through meter partnerships, Sense is making connected energy insights a standard feature of the modern home.

By working with Enode, they’re helping EV drivers charge smarter, cut costs, and support a more reliable grid, all from their home app.

“Sense is showing how EV charging can become a seamless part of everyday life,” says Thorvald Thorsnes, Chief Revenue Officer at Enode. “By connecting to hundreds of EV models through Enode, they’re giving drivers the insights and control needed to charge smarter, save money, and support a more reliable grid.”

Building the future of connected energy

As the energy system evolves, so will the role of the home. With this partnership, Sense and Enode are building a future where every device, and every user, plays a smarter part.
