Q2 recap: Driving residential flexibility forward

Things move fast in the energy industry, and time is no exception. Somehow, we’re halfway through the year. Q2 has been a particularly busy one at Enode: as flexibility programs accelerate out of pilot mode and into the market, we’ve doubled down on our mission to help energy retailers operationalize flexibility as a scalable, profitable business.
From expanding our partnerships to deepening our product capabilities and building out our world-class team, we’ve achieved some major milestones in the last three months.
Here are the highlights and how they’re helping accelerate the transition to a more sustainable energy system.
Unlocking consumer choice through partnerships
You may have noticed that we signed a lot of new partnerships in Q2. We think they’re worth celebrating: partnerships are essential to building an open, interoperable energy ecosystem.
We’re excited to be working with the leading companies across all major device categories, including EVs, EV chargers, home batteries, solar inverters and HVACs. Our partnerships ensure consumers can unlock the full value of their devices, by optimizing their energy consumption and lowering bills.
We now work with most of the top EV chargers in Europe. In Q2 alone, we added Easee, go-e, Myenergi and Legrand. These partnerships open up real choice for users when selecting optimization services and energy tariffs, empowering more people to actively participate in the energy transition.
Our new partner Myenergi said it best:
"By connecting our technology with Enode’s platform, we’re giving users even more control over their energy—helping them use more of their own renewable power, cut reliance on the grid, and take real steps toward a greener, more independent future."
Building the tools that power flexibility at scale
We were hard at work behind the scenes, too. In Q2, we shipped major upgrades to our product platform to ensure our customers have all the support they need to launch and scale their flex programs.
The Enode Dashboard has been a big focus area. From faster device onboarding to richer data insights and more intuitive monitoring tools, we’ve added a number of new features designed to give energy companies greater control and visibility over their connected devices and flexibility programs.
Two of the biggest additions? Asset View, which makes it easier to investigate and resolve end-user issues directly in the dashboard, and Insights, a new section that surfaces key connection trends and integration performance data. Together, they help streamline internal workflows, reduce time to market, and make it easier to manage high-performing flex offerings with low cost-to-serve.
And there’s more on the way in Q3.
Strengthening our team with new hires and hackathons
You can’t build a world-class product without a world-class team, and in Q2, we added some exceptional new Enoders.
We hired 4 new team members across engineering and talent. From scaling our platform to building the infrastructure that powers enterprise flexibility, each hire brings critical experience to support our next phase of growth.
We also had the chance to come together in person. While we’re a fully remote team by design, we value the moments when we can connect face to face. In the last week of May, Enoders from across the globe gathered in Oslo for a week of co-working, collaboration and connection. It was a chance to step away from our day-to-day routines, tackle challenges together in-person, and strengthen the bonds that make remote work work.
As part of the week, we hosted a one-day AI hackathon to explore how emerging tools can make our platform faster, smarter, and more valuable for customers. Teams prototyped everything from automated support tools to improved internal monitoring systems. The results were creative, practical, and rooted in real user needs. Some are already being explored as part of our roadmap
Working with industry leaders to unlock residential flexibility
Q2 also marked strong momentum on the commercial front. We announced 5 new customers: Clever, Pod Point, Eneco, Tibber and Iberdrola. These relationships reflect growing demand for scalable, software-driven flexibility solutions, and each one brings unique value to the energy transition.
We’re working with Clever to power real-time smart charging using EV data, enabling more dynamic, grid-responsive charging experiences.
With Pod (Previous Pod Point), we’re unlocking wholesale market participation for residential EVs in the UK, helping one of the country’s largest charge point networks transition from infrastructure to flexibility.
We’re working with Eneco, to support a full-scale residential VPP, turning thousands of homes into active participants in the energy system.
Iberdrola moved from hardware-heavy deployments to a software-first model, a strategic decision that unlocks flexibility at scale and puts digital infrastructure at the heart of the energy transition.
And Tibber selected Enode to expand their connectivity across a wide range of smart energy devices, and deepen support for distributed resources like EVs and chargers.
These collaborations show what’s possible when leading energy companies combine ambition with the right software infrastructure.
What’s next for flex
Q2 made one thing clear: the flexibility market is moving fast, and energy companies are making long-term decisions now. At Enode, we’re building the infrastructure, insights and support they need to scale with confidence.
As we head into the second half of the year, we’re excited to build on this momentum. Expect to see more customer programs go live, new capabilities launched, and continued leadership from Enode in shaping the future of open, scalable energy flexibility.
If you're building flexibility into your long-term strategy, we’d love to talk.
