Fortum’s new app offers the ultimate go-to for smart energy management
As the largest energy retailer in the Nordics, Fortum leads the way when it comes to clean energy solutions that empower customers to live more sustainably. Guided by ambitious environmental goals, Finland-based Fortum delivers clean energy to over 2.4 million customers across Finland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, and Spain.
Alongside CO2-free power generation and energy supply, Fortum has also created the Fortum app. It equips residential customers with energy intelligence, making it easy for them to keep track of their household consumption, save on their energy costs and contribute to the green transition.
We’re working with Fortum to make the app even more powerful, enabling Fortum customers to instantly connect their HVACs and EVs, and optimize their consumption with EV smart charging.
Energy intelligence and smart solutions for switched-on customers
Fortum is a firm believer that in order to transition over to a more sustainable energy system, consumers need to be empowered with tools that can help them use energy more efficiently. That means offering them insights to help understand the impact of their energy consumption, and smart solutions that reduce both their carbon footprint and their energy costs.
The new Fortum app puts everything customers need to know about their energy usage in one place. It delivers insights about energy consumption and enables them to track energy prices in real-time, so that they can make smarter decisions that put money back in their pockets.
With the new app rolling out across the Nordics, customers will have access to EV smart charging functionality, and at a later stage, HVAC smart heating. This functionality enables customers to seamlessly and holistically manage their household consumption, by finding the lowest-energy price hours and automatically aligning asset usage.
One app for holistic home energy management
As part of the Fortum app’s infrastructure, Enode delivers connectivity to a wide range of EVs and HVACs so that Fortum customers can connect their devices to the app in just a few taps. Our out-of-the-box EV smart charging algorithm means customers can start saving through the app straight away.
And we’re only just getting started. Plans are already underway at Fortum to add even more functionality to the app in future, including support for assets like EV chargers and solar PV. We’re excited to help them on their journey towards implementing all energy devices, so that customers get the maximum value from the app.
